Online Transdiagnostic Intervention for Emotional Disorders and Stress-related Disorders

The project is directed by Anabel de la Rosa Gómez, PhD. (anabel.delarosa@iztacala.unam.mx) in collaboration with Lorena A Flores-Plata, PhD; Alejandrina Hernández-Posadas, PhD student; Pablo D Valencia, PhD student; Carolina Santillán-Torres Torija, PhD; Paulina Arenas-Landgrave, PhD; Berenice Serrano-Zarate, PhD; Alejandro Domínguez-Rodríguez, PhD; Mario F Vázquez-Sánchez, Ms student and Alicia I Flores-Elvira, Ms.

Transdiagnostic treatments have been reported to help overcome the drawbacks related to comorbidity between disorders. In addition, technological progress has generated alternatives for psychological assistance, both for the evaluation and for the treatment of different emotional disorders. In this sense, the possibilities offered by technologies are highlighted; since the intervention programs supported by the Internet have been empirically tested to achieve effectiveness and efficiency / cost-benefit and can be key to guarantee access to mental health services to those who, due to various conditions, are inaccessible.

In this way, the psychological intervention via videoconference will offer a therapeutic space in which problems related to anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or any emotional discomfort derived from the experience of a stressful or traumatic situation are addressed. The program is completely online, via videoconference, free, with a maximum duration of 8 sessions (1 session per week of 60 min.).
